3rd Risk Evaluation & Mitigation Strategies Summit

3rd Risk Evaluation & Mitigation Strategies Summit

January 24-25, 2011 in Arlington, VA ~  Practical Strategies for Determining Risk Thresholds, Implementing and Assessing REMS Programs.

Any risk management consists essentially of three steps: identify the underlying hazard, assess the risk associated with this, and find ways to improve the risk. Risk analysis is a formal, systematic approach to approach the whole set of risks in an organized, coherent way. This can then serve as a basis to prioritize the risks and develop the right risk mitigation strategy. This workshop will explain some systematic approaches to determining hazards and risks in a mitigation context and follow through with a course of action that can be applied to formal and information risk mitigation protocols. The success of this approach crucially depends on the availability of internal risk analysis experts who understand the methodologies and have the ability to work with the respective subject matter experts to translate the findings of a risk analysis into meaningful risk mitigation measures.
